Guard and Grading was founded in 2021 after more than 3 years of preparation and has been operating as Cardmarket Grading for the longest time. Now we want to develop further under our own brand in 2024, but of course we will continue to act as an exclusive partner of Cardmarket. Our employees have been trained for months and are still undergoing regular training to achieve the best results at all times. During the preparations, we not only took care of the grading, but also had to secure all important processes, even those that the customer might not realise at first. These include, for example, adequate insurance cover in the event of a claim and protection for the dispatch of high-priced cards. Of course, security also plays a major role for our company, which is why our building is equipped with a new and certified monitoring, alarm and security system, a direct connection to the local police headquarters and a high-security safe from the German Bundesnotenbank.

In the course of the preparations, we have acquired the certificate as an appraiser and expert for collector cards from the DGuSV. This makes us the first and only company to be a certified expert in this field. This means that we are not only able to value cards, we also issue certificates of authenticity and valuations (which are often required by insurance companies in the event of damage in order to secure their own collection). As valuers, we have therefore already worked with various insurance companies, courts and even eBay.
